My Golf Journey with PGA of America... July 9, 2024.
-
PGA of America Professional Membership. My NTPGA regional partnership and my PGA Associate membership with PGA of America through the PGA|PGM Associate programs are my pathway to eligibility to a PGA Professional Membership after completing requirements in PGA|PGM Associate Level 3. My present PGA golf and facility skills are Executive Management, Golf Operations, Teaching and Coaching resulting from PGA|PGM Level 1 & 2; as well as Texas Women’s University – Kwon Golf Biomechanics educational work products and instruction. I have five (5+) years of one-on-one Teaching and Coaching (T&C) instruction with PGA, USGA, NTPGA and Bryon Nelson Classic Champion PGA Instructors and mentors starting in 2021. My golf pro shop retail skills started in 2017 with PGA Superstore Dallas custom fitting clubs in ball flight simulation bays with an expert fitter trainer on all the major club manufacturing OEMs while in training. Prior to retirement - I worked 40+ years in a corporate career graduating with a BS in Engineering from the University of Louisiana then leveraging my academics in technology, telecommunications and aerospace programs with Fortune 100-500 corporations. My past functional roles provided leadership and supervisory role skills. I am currently in prep work for a PGA 36-hole Players Ability Test (PAT) re-qualification after an approved PGA|PAT score qualifying edibility into the PGA|PGM Associate program.

TWU-Kwon Golf Biomechanics. Texas Woman's University holds the honour and global reputation as the powerhouse for the “Science of Golf Swing Analysis” all in part because of its university state-of-art golf research lab setting and kinesiology professor. I am certified by one of the foremost and world-renowned leading authority on the science of golf biomechanics and swing kinematics, Dr. Young-Hoo Kwon PhD, Professor of Kinesiology. I am one (1) out of eleven (11) TWU-Kwon Golf Biomechanics instructors for the entire state of Texas along with hundreds world-wide. Dr. Kwon's academic background is Exercise and Sports Science specializing in Biomechanics with a minor in Mechanical Engineering; and 15+ years as Director of Texas Woman's University (TWU) golf biomechanics and motor behavioural lab research. My sixty (60) TWU-Kwon's golf biomechanics classroom hours of instruction, certification and knowledge-based foundation was created from over 400+ actual PGA Tour Pros, College Players and International Tour Pro participant swing kinematics in TWU’s golf lab Denton, Texas over a 15+ year timeframe.
